Academic Facilities
Purpose-built academic block housing NMC-mandated facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
Central Library
10,000+ books spanning all medical disciplines; 50+ national and international journal subscriptions; digital library with NMC-mandated e-resources. Reading hall capacity: 120 seats. Open 8 AM–8 PM on working days.
Lecture Theatres
3 air-conditioned lecture theatres with tiered seating — capacities of 200, 150, and 100. Each equipped with digital projector, visualiser, PA system, and internet-connected podium.
Departmental Seminar Rooms
5 departmental seminar rooms (capacity 30–50 each) for small-group tutorials, journal clubs, case presentations, and PG thesis reviews.
Dissection Hall
Purpose-built dissection hall with capacity for 150 bodies simultaneously. Modern negative-pressure ventilation, formalin scrubber, digital teaching display, adequate natural and artificial lighting per NMC norms.
Skills & Simulation Lab
High-fidelity patient simulators (adult, paediatric, neonatal); laparoscopy box trainer; OSCE stations for clinical skills; airway management trainers; IV cannulation and suturing task trainers.
IT Centre
60 computer terminals with high-speed broadband internet (100 Mbps leased line). Licensed digital learning resources, e-library portal, campus-wide Wi-Fi in academic block. Open to all enrolled students.
Hostel & Residential Quarters
On-campus residential facilities for students, nurses, resident doctors and faculty within the gated campus.
Boys Hostel
Capacity: 200 students. Single and double occupancy rooms; 24×7 security; in-house mess with hygienic catering; common room, indoor sports; campus-wide Wi-Fi. Warden resident on-campus.
Girls Hostel
Capacity: 150 students. Lady warden resident on-premises; 24×7 security with CCTV; in-house mess; strict entry-exit protocol; sick bay; common room; Wi-Fi connectivity.
Nurses Hostel
80 rooms for nursing staff (GNM and B.Sc. Nursing students and posted nurses). Separate block with dedicated mess, recreation room, and 24×7 security.
Doctors' Quarters (Residents)
60 rooms for resident doctors (PG and interns) within the hospital campus. Proximity to casualty and wards; furnished rooms with attached bathroom; Wi-Fi; 24×7 electricity.
Faculty Quarters
40 residential units in the faculty quarters block — gated campus; 2-BHK and 3-BHK configurations; allocated by the Principal's office as per government rules.
Hostel Allotment
Hostel accommodation is allotted on the basis of merit-cum-distance at the time of admission. For allotment and related queries, contact the Hostel Superintendent through the college office. Day scholars are not eligible for hostel accommodation.

Essential engineering, biomedical and dietary services maintaining clinical operations round the clock.
CSSD
Central Sterile Supply Department — high-speed steam autoclaves, EO sterilisers for heat-sensitive instruments, ultrasonic cleaners, class 100 clean room, full tracking system for surgical packs.
Biomedical Waste Management
Compliant with BMW Rules 2016 (Amendment 2019) — colour-coded segregation at source, dedicated BMW trolleys, deep-burial pit, licensed Common Treatment Facility (CTF) tie-up for Category 1 & 2 waste.
Generator Backup
24×73 × 500 KVA diesel generators with automatic changeover switch (ATS). Essential circuits (OTs, ICUs, labour room, emergency) on UPS with <30-second cutover. Last tested: Jun 2026.
Central Piped Oxygen Plant
Liquid oxygen plant supplying piped O₂ to all wards, OTs, ICUs and emergency bays following the June 2026 pipeline upgrade. Nitrous oxide and medical air supply to OT complex. Manifest alarms in nursing stations.
Hospital Pharmacy
24×724-hour hospital pharmacy dispensing essential medicines from the West Bengal government formulary. Separate counter for Swasthya Sathi beneficiaries. Night duty pharmacist on-call for emergency drug requests.
Canteen & Dietary Kitchen
Centralised dietary kitchen providing therapeutic diets for inpatients (diabetic, low-salt, high-protein, post-operative). Staff canteen and patient attendant canteen operated under FSSAI-licensed vendor. Hygienic catering with daily menu cycle.
Auditorium & Event Spaces
Main Auditorium
Capacity 500 seats — air-conditioned with tiered seating, high-definition projection, professional sound system, green room, and stage lighting. Used for convocations, CMEs, national conferences, Foundation Day, and cultural programmes.
Seminar Hall & Open Amphitheatre
Seminar hall (200 seats) with video-conferencing facility — used for workshops, CMEs, and inter-departmental meetings.
Open amphitheatre in the campus green zone — used for blood donation camps, cultural and community outreach events.
