Hospital Services Commitment
Our standards for inpatient and emergency care
24×7 Emergency & Casualty
Round-the-clock emergency care including trauma, obstetric, paediatric, and medical emergencies. Dedicated casualty medical officers always on duty.
ICU & NICU
Functional Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with dedicated nursing and physician cover. Blood bank available 24×7 for critical patients.
Free Care for BPL Patients
Free medicines, investigations, and procedures for patients enrolled under Swasthya Sathi and other GoWB health insurance schemes. No cash payment required at the hospital.
Laboratory & Imaging
In-house pathology lab, radiology (X-ray, USG, CT), and clinical biochemistry available for admitted patients. OPD investigations at subsidised government rates.
Dialysis Unit
10-bed Dialysis Unit operational from June 2026 for renal failure patients. Sessions available Mon–Sat; referral from Medicine/Nephrology OPD.
Licensed Blood Bank
24×7 licensed blood bank with adequate stock of whole blood and blood components. Voluntary blood donation drives conducted regularly.
Students & Academic Commitments
Our obligations to MBBS students and academic stakeholders
- Examination notifications will be issued within 7 days of receipt of the WBUHS schedule
- Internal Assessment marks will be submitted to WBUHS within the stipulated timeframe
- Results of university examinations displayed on notice board within 24 hours of official declaration
- Certificates and degree documents handed over to students within 30 days of declaration of results
- Transfer Certificates (TC) and Migration Certificates issued within 15 working days of application
- Academic Calendar published before commencement of each academic year
- Attendance record accessible to students every month via AEBAS portal
- Stipend for Interns (as per GoWB norms) credited by the 10th of each month
Student grievances related to academic matters shall be addressed as follows:

Grievance Mechanism & RTI
How to raise a complaint, escalation matrix, and RTI contact
Escalation Matrix
Raise concern in writing to the HOD of the concerned department. Response within 7 days.
If unresolved at Level 1, escalate to the Dean of Students (academic) or MSVP (hospital). Response within 15 days.
Final institutional level. Resolution within 30 days. Appeals may thereafter be directed to WBUHS or the Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, GoWB.
