How to Apply to RPHGMCH

Admissions to all courses are conducted through state and central regulatory bodies. All MBBS admissions are via NEET-UG and WBMCC counselling.

Undergraduate

MBBS Admission Process

Step-by-step guide to securing an MBBS seat at RPHGMCH through WBMCC counselling.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Qualify NEET-UG 2026 — Conducted by NTA. Minimum qualifying percentile as per NMC norms.
  2. Register on WBMCC Portal — Visit wbmcc.nic.in and complete online registration with NEET scorecard.
  3. Participate in Counselling Rounds — Fill choices online, attend seat allotment process. Multiple rounds held.
  4. Document Verification — Report to allotted college with all original documents for verification.
  5. Fee Payment & Admission — Pay prescribed fees and complete institutional enrolment formalities.

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS Eligibility

As prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and State Government norms.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) — General/EWS/OBC category
  • Minimum 40% marks for SC / ST / OBC / PwD candidates
  • Qualified in NEET-UG with required percentile as per NMC regulations
  • Age: Minimum 17 years as on or before 31 December 2026
  • Indian national / NRI / OCI as per NMC admission regulations
  • English as medium of instruction at 10+2 level (or equivalent)
PwD candidates: Persons with Benchmark Disability (as per RPWD Act 2016) are eligible for 5% horizontal reservation subject to Medical Board fitness certification.
Allied Health & Nursing

Allied Health & Nursing Admissions

Separate West Bengal state process — Allied Health diplomas through SMFWB, nursing through WB Nursing Council.

Allied Health Diploma admissions are conducted centrally by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB). Nursing admissions are conducted by the West Bengal Nursing Council. Candidates are advised to check the respective council portals for official notifications, eligibility criteria, examination schedule and counselling.

Fee Payment

Fees are payable at the time of admission. Accepted modes:

  • Demand Draft (DD) in favour of Principal, RPHGMCH
  • Online payment via state government portal
  • NEFT / RTGS to institutional bank account

Receipts must be obtained for all payments. Report discrepancies immediately to the Accounts section.

Carry originals and two sets of self-attested photocopies.

  1. NEET-UG 2026 Scorecard / Admit Card
  2. 10+2 (Higher Secondary) Marksheet & Certificate
  3. 10th (Madhyamik / CBSE / ICSE) Marksheet — for Date of Birth proof
  4. Birth Certificate (if DOB not on 10th certificate)
  5. Category Certificate — SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / EWS (if applicable)
  6. Domicile / Nativity / Residential Certificate (West Bengal)
  7. Aadhaar Card (original + photocopy)
  8. Passport-size photographs (8 copies, recent, white background)
  9. Medical Fitness Certificate from a registered medical officer
  10. WBMCC Allotment Letter
  11. Character Certificate from last institution attended
  12. Migration Certificate (if from other state / board)
